Intaglio inking of ‘The Lost King’

Pushing the ink into the levels of the plate

Wiping back the itaglio ink with scrim and tissue

Adding second colour with brush

Adding third colour of white with a roller

Further rolls of Turquoise and Cadmium are added to the plate

Areas to remain light are wiped back again with a cotton bud

Wiping back with tissue to create lighter areas where required

Placing inked plate on bed of press

Positioning of dampened paper on top of inked plate

Rolling plate through the press
